You Are Getting Enough Sleep. So Why Are You Still Exhausted?

I cannot tell you how many times I have heard this.

I am sleeping fine. I am eating okay. I am not doing anything obviously wrong. So why do I feel like this?

And I get it. Because when I was working long hospital shifts for years, I felt it too. That flat, foggy, dragging feeling that does not go away no matter how early you go to bed.

Here is what I have learned. A lot of the time it is not about what you are doing. It is about what is missing.
